If you have more than 6 children under your care, you must run your child care services outside of your home and will need a child care center license.

You need a license to operate a detective agency. To prepare for the application, consider reading the Private Detective License Application Instructions and the New Jersey State Police Private Detective Information.

All staff working in your detective agency must be registered before they can be scheduled for work.

All New Jersey (NJ) private detective agencies are required to mail in employee registrations to the NJ State Police Private Detective Unit within 48 hours of fingerprinting new employees.

You need a permit to operate an electrical contracting business. Business applications are reviewed monthly. Your application must be received ten days prior to the Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors monthly meeting to be reviewed during the current month.

You must have a license to work as an electrologist in New Jersey.

You must have an electrologist office premises license to offer electrolysis services in New Jersey.

If you own a space and installed an elevator device(s) or plan on installing one, you must register the device(s) with the State before you can operate it. The device(s) must pass all installation inspections before you can apply to register. If you purchased a space with an elevator device(s) already installed, you must update the existing registration and transfer the ownership to you.
